For those of us who have faucets and spigots we can turn on to get any amount of water we want, at any time we want, a water well might not mean much. To an African village, having a source of plentiful clean water nearby means no more illnesses and deaths from bad water, no wasting time walking miles to get to the water, no more sore backs and bone injuries from carrying jugs of water. Where drought has left entire populaces, including our kids and teens, without a safe and reliable source of water, you can bring a safe, drinkable source of life to those who desperately need it.
Each well costs $12,000 dollars to build. That one well will not only save the lives of our own kids and teens, but also hundreds of surrounding people. Every little bit helps, and it will take all of us joining together for this cause to make the difference in their lives.
